We gave the Harbor and Sprout Little Sprouts curriculum a good try, but A has always been a child who has loved doing "school" and done it easily. With this program, I started feeling a lot more resistance that I wasn't feeling with the Blossom & Root. And while I think it is important for school to be rigorous, it is also important to me that he be enjoying what we are doing, and unfortunately I think he's just not a worksheet kid which means doing school on the go is going to be... complicated for me.

So we have decided to continue with Blossom & Root and also incorporating Timberdoodle's Farmland Math as a playful introduction to math. Besides that we have started a preschool co-op with some friends and that started last week also! It is going to be fabulous, I just know it. Once A learns how to work with other people that is and deal with structure LOL.

Some of our highlights from last week were our nature study. We studied clouds and then did an art activity that went with it. We also went back and finished some of the asignments we had missed like our sunflower painting. A really likes doing arts and crafts and nature based learning. It is his favorite part about school. He also really enjoys the books from Blossom & Root and we usually do them at bedtime. We got our very own library card too! We had been maxing out our holds on my card between my library books and his for homeschool.
